Zineryt Solution
Zineryt is a topical solution used to treat acne; it contains erythromycin and zinc acetate. It comes as a powder that can be made up by yourself or by a pharmacist if you are uncomfortable doing so. Please notify our team. The solution will last up to 8 to 12 weeks depending on the batch given.
Zineryt works by eliminating the bacteria through the antibiotic erythromycin and the zinc helps reduce the inflammation and promote healing
Zineryt can be used to cure moderate acne. It is effective for many kinds of acne, including hormonal and cystic acne. It is applied topically and comes in the form of a cream. It helps clear up acne breakouts and reduce symptoms like pain, swelling, and redness. It is not usually necessary for use in milder forms of acne.
There are risks of possible side effects when using Zineryt, as with any medication. Most side effects are quite mild and subside over time. You should stop using Zineryt and inform your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects
· Signs of an allergic reaction (Difficulty breathing, talking, or swelling of the face and tongue)
· Red scaly rash with blisters under the skin
· Painful rash or a burning sensation which doesn’t go away
How do I use Zineryt Solution?
Zineryt should be applied twice daily in the morning and evening.
The skin should be thoroughly clean and dried with any makeup removed before the solution is applied using the applicator
It should be applied to all areas of acne and not just each spot. Zineryt should not be applied to irritated skin, cuts or burns.
Zineryt should be applied to the skin and away from lips, mouth or eyes
Can I use Zineryt alongside other acne treatments?
It is fine to use oral antibiotic acne treatments but not another topical acne treatment as this can cause excess dryness and irritation of the skin
How long will it take Zineryt to work?
This can vary from patient to patient but results can be seen within 4-6 weeks, with full benefits seen after 12 weeks. The normal treatment time is 8 to 12 weeks. If no improvement there are a variety of treatments that can be trialled and you should consult your doctor
How long should I use Zineryt for?
Zineryt should be used for as long as it is prescribed by your doctor. If there are no improvements after 8 weeks then your doctor should be consulted to discuss an alternative.
Can I buy Zineryt over the counter?
