Lymecycline capsules are an oral antibiotic that is used to treat moderate acne. It is designed to be taken once daily. It works by killing the acne-causing bacteria that live on the skin, reducing their numbers by preventing them from making the proteins they need to reproduce. By reducing the number of bacteria that cause acne outbreaks, reduces skin inflammation and gives the skin time to heal.

How do I take Lymecycline tablets?

The normal dosage for lymecycline is one to be taken daily in the morning preferable.

This can vary from patient to patient but results can be seen within 4-6 weeks, with full benefits seen after 12 weeks. If no improvement there are a variety of treatments that can be trialed and you should consult your doctor

How long should I use Lymecycline for?

Lymecycline should be used for as long as it is prescribed by your doctor. If there are no improvements after 12 weeks then your doctor should be consulted to discuss an alternative.
