Dymista nasal spray is used to treat hayfever and allergy symptoms. It has two active ingredients, Azelastine Hydrochloride - which reduces the amount of histamine the body produces and lowers the allergic response, and the steroid Fluticasone Propionate - which reduces inflammation of the nasal cavity and controls the response within those cells.

Others can be more serious and, in this stance, should be reported to your GP right away when using Dymista. How do I use Dymista nasal spray?

Dymista should be applied by spraying the solution directly in the nose.  The usual dose is one dose into the affected nostril twice daily (morning and night) unless specified by your doctor. The spray should be used regularly to get the maximum benefit

If your condition doesn’t clear after 14 days, stop using the spray and consult your doctor.

Before applying the Dymista the bottle should be shaken well and the pump should be pressed down until a fine spray is released. Each spray administers one dose of the medication.

The nozzle tip should be placed gently into the nose and the pump should be pressed to administer one spray.

If you experience seasonal allergies, it is recommended to begin treatment in the month leading up to the allergy season so the medicine is at its most effective when it’s required.

Can I use Dymista alongside other antihistamine treatments?

It is fine to use other antihistamine tablets but not another nasal spray in conjunction with Dymista.
